Description
A one-way valve or check valve is a protective device used in domestic plumbing systems, engine houses, sewage, power plants, agriculture, water treatment and chemical industries, etc., which blocks any backflow.
There are different types of one-way valves. The automatic valve between the flanges is a type of one-way valve that is suitable for flange connections, and due to its small size and weight, it is very useful to use it in small and closed spaces. This type of valve can be classified as automatic or automatic valves because it controls the network without the need for an operator. In the design of this type of valve, a disk with reciprocating movement is used to cut off and connect the fluid flow.
One-way disc valve consists of 4 main parts:
- body
- disk
- spring
- Spring holder
In this type of one-way valve, the disc moves at a 90-degree angle in the direction of the fluid path, and the amount of movement is controlled by a spring placed behind the disc. The main body is designed to wrap around the disk. When the force on the disk caused by the pressure of the passing fluid flow is greater than the resistance force of the spring, it causes the disk to separate from its seat and, as a result, the fluid flow passes through it. When the pressure difference inside the valve decreases, in this case, the spring exerts force on the disk and causes the disk to be placed in its seat and close the flow path before the reverse flow passes.
The one-way disc valve can be connected vertically, horizontally and diagonally, and due to the wide range of applications of hot liquids, steam, gas, condensate systems, etc., it has turned them into very widely used valves in the industry.
